Fuel contents gauge upgraded?

Hi there,
got my 2006 1200gs back from BMW yesterday and have noticed that the fuel gauge reads differently. Previously the top bar would never be illuminated no matter how full the tank was. Now the top bar lights up and the top half of the gauge reads in smaller increments than the bottom half. The bike was in for an ABS fault(that is on going).

Anybody experienced anything similar?

I just had a fuel sensor replaced and it has recalibration and software upgrade on the bill, but I see no difference in the display?

Mine wouldn't show full but after Id unplugged to change out old FPC works 100% now must've been dirty contacts on plug,did bmw do the check on fuel pump seals & flange whilst it was in prob why it works now

Thanks bikemad, where did you unplug? I will try this. The spaces between the blocks in the top half are filled in. The gauge goes from full to half in one jump.
