About to replace the fuel filter on the 1150. Can someone tell me if it is crimped hose clips or the normal jubilee type on the filter.Previous K's had the jubilee type but aint replaced one on this one yet.

crimped hose clips from the factory, replace with some hose clips from a K series.

;)

Steptoe, how do the hose clips from the K differ?

Cheers

K series are small hose clips ( jubilee clips) that can be loosened/tightened with a screwdriver, the R series are crimped clips, which need a special tool to tighten.

;)

NO NO No.....

Please don't use Jubilee clips (I'm certain Steptoe knows about this) Mr Joe Public is very susceptible to suggestion and any old Jubilee clip just will not do. For fuel lines you must use the correct type of fuel pipe clamp, these are able to clamp through almost 360 degrees rather than just squeeze the pipe tightly and unevenly like the Jubliee clip...a fine product but not intended for this particular type of application!

thats why i've put Kseries hose clips , jubilee clips in brackets, to give those that don't know, a rough idea of what type of clip i'm describing.

:) :)

Is that jubilee clips in brackets, or jubilee clips and brackets?
What type of bracket? Is the special tool called a 'screwdriver'?

Confused, but always eager to hear about developments in the 'hose attachment' world. (Especially as delving around inside my tank every weekend (using a variety of clips) is beginning to cease being fun:mad: )
