FUEL GAUGE INACCURACY

I'm on my third one as well, it seems to be fairly accurate but I reset the trip meter at each fill up and start looking for fuel at about 200 miles.

Mechanic at the dealer told me today that BMW are having lots of probs with the fuel sender, even their demo GSA has failed. BMW keep swapping between mech and elec and still no joy.

Mine has to go in for a new one anyway.
