fuel gauge problem 06

Streaky - Just to follow up on the pictures of your fuel gauge, I have the latest 06 bike and just had the software update on my display and now my fuel gauge looks like yours!! Surely this can’t be right it looked better before. It just stays on full all of the time, admittedly I haven’t done over 100 miles since last filling up but it should have moved by now. Is yours responding to fuel levels? What does your dealer say about it?

HI, my guage now reads just like my 05 gs,you get about 110 miles and it just drops from full to half and from there it reads not to bad,not what you would expect from a bike costing so much But bmw seem to think its cured

... I have a sneaking suspicion that the software won't cure the 'eccentric' display.

... Methinx they've saved a few bob and only fitted 'key-stage' sensors in the fuel tank 100%, 50%, 25% reserve, or somesuch arrangement. Now I'm used to it, it's not really a problem ... just an unadvertised feature
