Now on second fuel strip on 2010 TC last one done 6 weeks ago and gone again, but this time the orange warning triangle stays lit on the dash and Fuel flashes constantly as well. Does anyone know if I can reset it to stop flashing all The time? Not bothered about the gauge as i use the trip anyway. I'm off to Europe this week so not much time to take to dealer.

Nope you cant do anything with it unfortunately. If you have a GS 911 then you might could recalibrate it. This can also be done at the dealer. There is also some people zapping the strip with a piezo ignition thing and fixing them. Some say it works great, some say it works but not for long.

I'm off to Europe this week so not much time to take to dealer.

Low fuel alarm works off the strip and won't reset until fixed. Dealer takes about an hour and a half to fix. I'd speak to dealer and see if they can fit you in due to an upcoming trip, strips have a two year warranty.

There has to be some reason why some strips go on for ever and some last a few days.

Get the dealer to properly check the circuits which drive the fuel strip and maybe review how they fit the ****ing things. In fact as its blown a 2nd time get them to replace the driver circuits along with a the new strip.

That's the strip all replaced by Calterdon Inverness, have to thank them as their not my usual dealer and took bike in straight away. Now I'm off on a trip to Europe at the weekend so taking bets how long this one will last?
First one to 4k miles second on 7k third on 11k now on forth 11.5k miles. Sweepstake anyone?

If you have a GS911 tool with the latest software to calibrate the new strip then yes it's a DIY job, otherwise it's main dealer.
