Fuel guage fault ?

On Monday I put my F800GS away in the garage after work showing 2 bars on the fuel guage. Tuesday morning got the bike out to go to work and the low fuel warning light came on and count down from 48miles ! ??. within 3 miles it went down to no miles left, ( usually get at least 3 trips to and from work on reserve). filled the tank Tuesday night and it took less than normal if on reserve. Wednesday morning the trip started counting down from 112miles . Today it appears to be reading correctly !!
Anyone else encountered this ?

Looks like a trip back to the dealer for you... Have you had the fuel level sensor recall done..

Mine seems OK, counts down to about 40 odd miles left then the light comes on, never had the bottle to see how accurate this figure is though.. tend to top up when the warning light comes on.

Mine was ok, and they replaced it with another one which also appears to work

Yes, mines fine. Ridden to zero a few times, and managed to get just under 16.5 litres in. The only time I had a problem was when I topped up from a can, and didn't push the cap home fully. The guage/computer didn't see the extra fuel I'd put in.
