Just received a service kit for my 1150GSA from Motor Works.

In the kit were two hose clamps for my fuel filter. How do these work?

Is it just a case of crimping the raised section together with a pair of pliers?

Is it that simple?:nenau

Bin them and fit decent hose clips, the kind you can tighten up... (not jubilee clips) You may find your bike already has them fitted, especially if someone has been in there before.

from motorworks website part no. COA60928 you can buy them from there or most car supplies shops.

These cost £1.04 each from Motor Works, £1.50 for 4 from my local car spares shop !!!

Agree

Bin the funny BMW clips - they are real pain to get off next time. Good quality, small hose clamps that can be tightened are the way to go. It's a bit fiddly, but worth it.

Cheers,

The ones you have are called ear clamps and were designed for the aviation industry. They are very good bits of kit. You will see more about them if you google "ear clamps"
