Hi guys my bike has been stood for about three months started it today and it's leaking fuel from somewhere around where the fuel sensor fits in the tank is there an over flow or will it be something burst

Check the plastic quick release coupling where it leaves the fuel sender they are prone to cracking their threads due to a thin wall thickness, it’s known as a CPC coupling.

BMW don’t sell new ones but Motorworks in Holmfirth UK do if you need one. Personally I would recommend you pay a little bit more and replace the OE plastic version with a metal one.

You will probably see petrol puddling in the front of the fuel sender well.

Check with your dealer. There was a recall on the coupling there a number of years ago. You may get it sorted for free.

Thanks but the bike is 2009 and I live in fuertevetura no dealers 🤣👍

Another issue could be the large O ring beneath the fuel pump housing flange leaking. If the quick release coupling isn’t the problem, my money is on the O ring, you may get away with tightening the large metal locking ring with a tap of a screwdriver/hammer. Righty tightly, lefty loosy.

I forgot to add, please report back what you find for the benefit of other forum members.
