Ok, here goes!
1150gs, remus race, y piece, k&n. Bike was running very lean. Bike ran crap. Looking at various options, chip, techlusion, pc etc, thought i would try the steptoe ccp mod.
A noticeable improvement lower down (in terms of smoothness) and generally ok up to 5000 rpm. Between 5 - 6000 rpm it is very slow revving and runs like an old brit single!! I am guessing that it is running really rich in this area. between 6 - 7500 it feels really breathless like it is a little lean again.
I only use this bike for commuting to and from work (150 miles per day); (i have a jap bike without all these quirks for fun at the weekends). Obviously if i am in a rush to get home the fuelling becomes irritating.
What can I do?
Why is the standard fuel curve so shit??
How do BMW get away with this??
