Can somone help with the correct fuel/oil mix for a suzuki ts50 (c) 1978- ? not the newer ts50 (x). Advise so far has ranged from 25:1 to 50:1 to dont put too much, or too little in:rolleyes: Man at suzuki dealer asked what a ts50 was :blast
Read somewhere that the mixtures arent relevant now cos the oil quality is far better now than is was then, kinda makes sense..
thanks chaps
regards Tony:thumb

Edit, yes i have spotted that ive typed ration and not ratio....... let the rationing p[$$ take begin...

It's actually six of one and half a dozen of the other.:augie:augie

Seriously though, I'd try 50:1 and if that is a bit smokey or hard to start, go to 100:1

Most strokers, outboards, etc. seem to be ok on weaker mixtures than of old, due to improvements in 2T oils.

After careful consideration and having found a measuring jug in the kitchen that had 125ml(gonna hide it in the garage and deny all knowledge of it:augie) i opted for 40:1. Then having put half the 5L can in the petrol tank i realised that i had connected the new fuel pipe to the tank, but not the carb:blast So after a quick tidy up (and some more fuel) i was ready to try and start it. Seven kicks ( i counted them) and she was up and running:clap Had to reroute the throttle cable cos it went a bit mad when i turned the wheel to the right:blast
Went for a spin round the garden:o and returned to back to where i was working to pick up tools etc. Left the bike running and promply filled the downstairs of the house with the smell of 2t:o:o
