Fuel presure?

I'm setting up a fuel cell on my R1200GS. I have a NAPA auto parts fuel pump attached to the fuel cell, which works when the bike is on the center stand and idling, but doesn't appear to work when I'm riding down then road.

I was wondering if the bike's fuel pump increases the PSI as the rev's are increased and the bike moves down the road? Therefore, maybe my small fuel pump on my fuel cell isn't creating enough presure to push fuel into the tank when the bike is moving?

Does anyone know what the PSI of the fuel tank is suppose to be at idle and at speed (4,000+ rpm)?

Thank you

It's not pressurised at all surely.....the tank isn't air tight or you'd get a vaccuum as the fuel was used.

Can't see why your pump won't transfer juice while moving but I really can't see it being anything to do with fuel tank pressures.

(Then again, I've never met anyone in the UK with a fuel cell....it's more common over there in septic land because of your huge distances.......If you don't get anywhere here Dave, try posting the question on Advrider- there are laods of IB riders there who'll have more suggestions)

The tank is at atmospheric pressure as it has a breather. Maybe there's a problem with the suction side of the pump when moving??

Where have you plumbed in your supply for the power to your auxillary pump and secondly where have you connected the fuel feed into the tank from your remote fuel cell if i have understood your question correctly ??
