Fuel Protest 5th June

Lorry groups were involved, they blockaded the motorway for a while until they were threatened with arrest.

We need to get these ministers to pay for their own fuel instead of it coming out of the public purse via "expenses" that'd shock 'em. And while we're at it put traffic cops in electric cars to save the stocks for GS riders

Up the revolution.... let them eat cake, or scones

what number did they allocate to you ? :)

PS All those MAG runs i went on in the 80's didn't help anti-helmet laws either. :mmmm

PPS - you're right - better to try than to have not tried :thumb

Nope but they help raise the profile enough so that when it came to arguing against things like 100BHP limits, anti-tampering laws ( which affect every one who has ever bolted a non std item to a bike) etc we had a voice.

Just wish it had been better publicised, as around 99% of the biking public would not ever go anywhere near facebook.

Well done for standing up...

Good Day Out and quite an impressive spectacle. They are estimating 1200 bikes at the moment.

Myself & Keff are visible in some of the Manchester Evening News shots also

So it was around 500 then... not knocking it just used to hearing estimated turn outs and experiencing actual figures at demos .. :(

it hit the news which is the main thing i think:thumb so well done to all whom put the effort in going etc

I think it will take a few more events like this my be on a bigger scale to get some action on dropping the tax of Fuel;)

but a good start, whens the next one:bounce1

i think the 500 bike figure was issued by the police and i would guess that it was the police being "conservative"

and while we are on the subject...

the police did set up ANPR and video cameras on the entrance to the motorway from the services........ just for our own safety:nenau

"they don't do themselfs any favours"
