Fuel Pump/Gauge Sender

Hi all. For all of you worried about running out of fuel whilst the distance to empty is still showing 20 or 30 miles I have some good news! BMW have an "enhancement" in place to replace the fuel pump and gauge sender.... having mine fitted next week... I think I'm up to 5 recalls now!

When did you buy your bike and when was is manufactured?

It's an August '08 bike... Manufactured July '08

Possibly friday afternoon... but then I guess you could say that about all '08 650s as they all would have had the rear sprocket, rad pipes, abs sensor, ecu update, and now the fuel pump done as part of warranty campaigns. I like all the pre-emptive fixes as it means I can plan my trip to the dealer rather than being at the whim of BMW assist

I've personally never run out of fuel but the experiences of people who have makes me glad they're fixing the "feature"... Not sure if it is just '08 bikes though... Anybody else got the recall letter yet?
