Fuel Range...Bit of a long shot

My old XR always read 155 after a fill but didn’t start counting down for at least 30mile.

Mine too and Im fed up of telling the TFT bods this.

Christ what did people do in the old days without range indication !

My Ducati has a fuel light, it comes on and then i get some fuel. Its quite simple really

I used to twist of the tank cap, look down the opening and wiggle the bike between my knees. If you could hear a sloshing sound you had petrol!

Still do the same on my 1967 Triumph TR6.

I have recently bought a late 2017 GS Rallye with the new TFT screen. The bike is great apart from a niggle I have regarding the TFT fuel range readout. With the tank filled to the brim it only displays 160 miles range. My attached Nav 5 also displays this. I always use the fuel range when out for a long ride to know when to fill up.

I previously had a 2016 GS and on a full tank would display the fuel range around 225 miles.

I have queried this with the dealer I bought it from after the 600 mile service and they said the bike will adjust to the correct range after doing 1000 miles.

I thought this was a bit of a fob off to be honest but agreed to leave it till I get more miles on it.

Has anyone else noticed this if they have a new GS?

Any replies appreciated!!

Hi, My exclusive reads 161 on fill up! Previous GS was around 215.
I have spoken to my dealer and will book it in for update

mines in tomorrow belfast hopefully will sort fuel gauge and adjustment for dynamic pro etc and hopefully comms will work also

GOT IT DONe FUEL GAUGE NOW SHOWS 175 able to adjust enduro pro throttle response etc comms still dont work

Thank God TFT wasn't available when I ordered my 2017 EU 4 bike. I'd have been suckered into the POS you lot are experiencing. My rule of thumb; 160 miles *until* the reserve light comes on.
