Evening all. I am currently in France and have an intermittent problem with the RT. Twice now I have stopped for a coffee/break and when I have returned to the bike she has refused to start. The fuel and temperature gauges are completely blank and the bike refuses to start. Nothing at all, completely dead. Fortunately on both occassions she has started eventually once the gauges kick in.
The 1st time simply shaking the bike did the trick, but not so on the second occasion
Thoughts please..........

Not 100% sure but the same happened to my mates bimmer and it was the wires that had disconnected at the back of the ignition. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Hi Tim,
any chance of popping into a BM Dealer to get it checked out. Wouldn't want it to pack up on the Autoroute.

As it's been intermittent and I'm on the way home now I've carried on. Due back in the UK tomorrow so may pop into Balderstones on my way past - time allowing.

Looks like it might be the starter button.
Dealer in France told me they're on back order in France and Germany with no idea of when they'll be available. Booked into Rainbow's for a definitve answer.

Ultimately proved to faulty switchgear by Rainbow.
None available in UK, France or Germany.
No idea when they will be available.
