Hi all,

I've managed to put a small dent in the fuel tank of my brand new (12 miles on the clock) Urban GS whilst cack-handedly fitting some handguards.

I'm absolutely devastated. It's my first brand new bike and I can't believe I've done this.

How expensive is it going to be for me to get this fixed?

It's not obvious in the photo, but IRL it's pretty glaring so I need to get it fixed or I'll never forgive myself.

Timmy's rules please.

Try your local dent doctors or similar franchise if they can get access, if not it will be a body shop to fill and repaint the tank.

The former may need the tank emptied.

Worthwhile asking at local franchised (prestige) main car dealers , they use specialists all of the time and most owners of brand new cars never know that bodywork rectification has taken place on their pride and joy

Dent guy should be able to fix that from inside the tank, but you may have to drain it first and let it evaporate.
Prepare to pay around £75-£100 if I go by a chips away prices I had a few years back.
