Fuel tank threaded inserts?

2002 R1150RS. The fairing fastens onto the tank via a series of M5 screws. Some of these have been stripped by a previous owner. They are very shallow holes and look like possible bonded inserts that have then been painted over.

Anyone found a means of repairing / replacing these?
