......however the most notable performance effect is that it makes your wallet a lot lighter
Yes, makes my wallet a lot lighter.
If I was the sort of man to change bike or car every 3 years, I would certainly not run with premium fuel, or even buy premium oils.
But I keep vehicules quite a long time. I buy them new.
My 1100 GSX-R has 17 years and 180 000 km
My Land Rover Defender has 11 years and 220 000 km
My 1200 GS has.....just 3 months and 2000 km .....
Always buy premium fuel and oils and my engines look like new (or almost). No oil consumption ( in fact there is, but so small) , no blue smoke etc....
Do oil analysis quite often to know how the engin wears etc....
For thoses who read french, OK, for the other look at pictures....easy to understand.

Some say that i'm a little bit mad to do all that.....
My Land Rover diesel engine at 200 000 km : clean (certainly due to pemium oil and oil change intervalles following spec). No black or brown deposits.
So ?
I'm just hoping that making today my wallet a little bit more lighter by using premium oils and fuels, that it will save me money in the future.
That's all.
