Fuelling issue help please

My 59 plate gsa is using about twice as much fuel as normal, has been getting worse over time and iv got no idea what is wrong?n Just had mot with no probs, anyone got any ideas or advise would be greatly appreciated.

Should prob have said that my rear abs sensor is bust so no speedo, don't no if that can mess up fuelling.

Was not last time I had it out about 6-8 months ago but prob worth looking at.

Duff o2 sensor? Are you getting any smoke due to over fueling?

Iv not looked to be honest my have to take it to bmw and get them to put it on there diagnostic computer.

If it's out of warranty, get Steptoe to give it the once over. He's not a million miles from you and may be able to spot the issue quickly.

I used to have a K1100LT a while back that became harder to start and used a lot more fuel than normal. After the dealer investigated, they found a duff temperature sensor, don't know if it's relevant to a hexhead, but might be a clue.

Steptoe? Sorry I dont now him do you have contract details? If it's any off the sensors is there a way to fined out without a diagnostic reader?

When my 08 got thirsty it turned out to be a failed primary coil. Swapping them left right had no effect so I replaced the O2 sensor. Then the coil failed totally. On the way home the other coil failed totally. So I'd bought an over priced O2 sensor for nothing.
The cool swap test didn't work because they were both heading for the exit.
