You said: The cockpit cover and Motorrad Concepts GPS mount use the same location and principle to mount. After an initial panic I realised that it wasn't a problem. I had to 'modify' the front bracket on the TT cover and use the Motorrad mount to clamp the front of it in place.
I had the same challenge fitting the shorter Motorrad Concepts GPS mount (for 2610) with TT cockpit cover. Came to the same conclusion about modifying the front bracket of the TT cover where it comes up from underneath. Just presented the TT cockpit cover piece in place, marked where the bolts from the GPS mount would have to pass through it. Then slipped out the cockpit cover piece, and then dremmeled out the holes in the TT piece's mounting bracket. Then used some hard rubber washer spacers and fashioned a less wide than stock Motorrad Concepts rectangular backing plate so everything cleared nicely and viola! Just pitched the TT very thin polygon shaped top aluminum mounting plate and let the GPS mount and bolts hold all the pieces together. A bit of fiddling but worth it.

1st was the cockpit cover. I found some instructions in English on the US Touratech site. There was also a helpful page on removing the tank, which is actually a piece of pish!
Found pdf files for cockpit on US site (v helpful thanks) but not tank removal -where is it?
I'm interested in seeing the neoprene fork protectors, I have considered them myself several times.
One question for the knowledgeable mass on here though...
Are the neoprene fork leg protectors likely to stop the crap getting to the forks, or in heavy rain conditions are they more likely to hold the damp to the forks?????
Wraith i'd be interested to hear your experiences once they've been on for a while..
