I had a good go on a new 1200gs yesterday but found there's no space under the seat now to fit a centec fusebox. If you're planning to add a pile of extras (like I do - horn, spots, fogs etc) is there somewhere I couldn't see to put one? It fitted perfectly on my now written off '07 GS.

Any photos of one someone did earlier?

You might struggle under the front seat if its on LOW but on HIGH, I think it would fit. Alternatively, there is loads of room under the pillion seat and under the rear rack/tail light area. I fitted a fused relay under the riders seat - triggered by a feed from the Red/Brown wire that outputs from the 7.5 amp fuse in the little fusebox under the riders seat. Leads to the battery are easily routed and only about 10 inches long.

Seat definitely on low for me.

So the WC GS has accessible space under the pillion seat then? The old one ('07) had a flat bit of bodywork under it - I take it the new one has a storage area?

MIne is a GSA but I am assuming yours will be very much the same - there is a decent size compartment under the rear seat. It does have two holes towards the rear where the numberplate fitting attaches - I filled these with clear silicon and get no water in atall now. If you are still short of space, remove the tyre pressure monitoring box temporarily an dthis will allow you to shove cables or bits that you dont neeed to access under the panel between the two seats. I have fitted my Autocom box, Bluetooth and all the associated radio cables here with ease. Once the seat goes back on I hav efound that you will not get hardly any water into the compartment - even in a monsoon! However, watch it if you use a jetwash!
