Prior to my R1250GS Exclusive TE, I owned a 2017 Triumph Explorer 1200, which similar to the GS was EU4 compliant with CanBUS - so needing a power outlet for additional farkles.
On the Explorer forum, the preferred unit used by many was the 5-way fused power outlet from Marks Motor Cycle parts https://www.marksmotorcycleparts.co.uk/product-page/5-way-switched-fused-power-outlet-1 (and indeed was what I used to add additional spots and other bits to my Triumph).
I appreciate that the Hex-Ezcan is favoured by many, also that the ECU can be "sensitive" perhaps on the GS (perhaps more so than the Triumphs), but given I already have one of these, before I go ahead and fit it, I'd like to check if anyone else has fitted one to their 1250, and/or any reason why it may not work - or screw up/fry the ECU (TBH, I don't need all the programmable options that come with the Hex-Ezcan).
Wiring is straight forward with power from the battery which is then activated by a switched power source (and I know where I can pick that up from having had the dealers install my Innovv C5 camera).
TIA
