Future Info for Morocco Virgins

But really morocco is a just the same as europe.
A hotel on every corner, petrol stations in most places, supermarkets in the large towns.
It's just that we like to kid ourselves that we're adventuras living on the edge. But we aren't.

I am really glad I read this as I am setting off for Morocco for the first time tomorrow.

After reading much advice and many ride reports I have been totally confused as to what to expect, aimiable shepherds or lawless drug traffickers, available petrol or stations run dry, incredible heat or chilly temps, should I be covered from head to foot or can I show my knees (maybe not a good idea;)) , fantastic local cuisine or food that should be served with a sachet of imodiom, impassable roads and tracks that are strewn with gravel, rocks and boulders or nothing worse than the pot holed roads of West Sussex this year.......

I can now set off happy in the knowledge that my only concern is how to cope with helmet hair for three weeks ;);):D

Ferry to Santander - 2 1/2 days through Spain if weather is good, 1 1/2 days if the weather is poor.

Cross to Cueta then ..........?

My travelling companions have been before so they do have a good idea of what to see as a tourist .... the Gorges, Volubilis (sp), the monkeys, the mountains, the kasbahs, the souks in cities, the market places etc, the Black Desert, the idea is to do some 'off-road' (non-tarmac) routes, one of them is currently plotting the route to Zagora....

It'll all be new to me so as long as we are safely back in Santander to catch the ferry in three weeks time it's gonna be great.

Yippppeeeee
