Seasons greetings all,

A question re fitting the Fuzeblock just purchased for my 2005 GS1200.

Have wired the unit in with no issues and want to connect my two spot lights first. Prior to fitting the Fuzeblock I had a switch placed on the left hand hand guard which operated the two spots via relays etc.
Currently, I have fitted one spot direct to the Fuzeblock and all works fine with the spot coming on when the ignition is live. Can I use the switch so that I can switch the spits on or off as required? If so, how? Should I connect the switch into the earth side? Live side? Will I need a relay again?
Anybody carried this out and can advise?

Regards
Bob

you need a relay in both instances no chance of burning out wires then, upsetting canbus or worse the dreaded engine management light :blast switch should be on live side Id've thought logical.

You can switch live or earth sides of components but I think safest is to switch the live as then the electrical item itself has no power to it when switched off, so if it develops an internal problem which allows an unexpected short to earth it can't drain the battery or worse still go up in flames :-) like would be possible with the switch on the earth side.
