what weight fork oil is best for a mono G/S?

i looked in two manuals, and all i get is a list of, probably obsolete/obscure oils. i have some 10/15w kicking about, so it's probably not that :D

i'm thinking 5/10w :nenau

TIA

10/15W is what I used to put into the oem forks.

An oil thread in the Airhead section? Wait till I tell the 1200 owners this!!!!!

Oh no!

Don't tell them there is oil in the forks!

i think i'll see what the local MX shop has in the morning.

thanks for the replies :)

The weight on the package doesnt mean much, if any of the dozen or so comparison charts you will find on Google are half correct.

I use 7 weight Maxima full synthetic fork oil in the WP shocked G/S.
It is actually 7 wt when hot which seems to match the shock well.

It also gives a pleasing reduction in stiction.

Being a synthetic it is naturally multigrade so it stays in grade better and lasts longer than dino so it doesnt cost much more in the long run.

I put it in the Koni equiped R75/7 too , but not as good, probably try the 5 wt Maxima next time, but after 90,000km the Konis could probably do with a rebuild too.

you're slipping proff.

aside from the link not working, isn't the HM cocktail for paras?

I do have an excuse, sir, :eek
