Nothing in the post for me today and I am off to DK for 3 weeks with the bike this weekend so I guess it will have to wait, either that or they can mail a new stat and gaskets out to me
The switch is a recall but it will be replaced as the bike is in service.
The swicht (oldermodel) can mallfunction, so that a: the fan keeps blowiong draining the battery. B: the fan doesnt work meaning the engine will not be cooled.
But because it is of non seriuos danger they do it in a service and you dont have to come back fot it immedialtly.
Because i crashed(somebody else crqsged into to mee :-( and damemegd my right knee (acl mcl bone splinters etc) i havent ride for 2 months and there for i havent been in for service(the bike only has 16 hours on it). Probly i will not be able to ride my bike for 2 more months.
My 450 has been in to Southport Superbike today. A new set of white plastics fitted (bar one side panel to follow) and the fan thermoswitch. Job took about 2 hours.
Timpo,
So good to see a gleaming new set of plastics on the bike for nothing !! I know for sure this wouldnt have happend with my Yamahas.
Good to see that even if your doing the srvice work yourself the dealers are still happy to help with warranty claims.
