G450X

price is £5995 + otr.

full 2 year warranty, as long as you keep a service record and using genuine parts.

comes out of the box at 40bhp.
part supplied to make it 48bhp but not recommended fitting without the akra.

akra fitted with the supplied part to get full 50bhp.

comes with 15 tooth front sprocket fitted, but also in the box your getting 13 and 14 tooth sprockets f.o.c. and a factory service manual.

so, who still wants a ktm????

Concerns for me are the service schedule and warranty, I am used to servicing my own competition machines and if moving the map to high power means a 10 hour service schedule that has to be done by BWM to keep the warranty in place  Even worse if they say warranty is void if the machine is used off road

No problem here. doesnt have to be serviced by dealer as full service manual is supplied on cd with the bike. keep a service record, use genuine parts and recommended oil for warranty purposes.

service schedule is the same for road or competiton use as the schedule is on running time ( speedo has mileage and hours ), but you may wish to use slightly shorter periods for competition use.

stop fretting! :blast
your gonna love it when it arrives :thumb2

Are you serious

What about cost for parts?

Anyone had both bikes that can compare price on replacement OEM parts?

I'm getting my first BMW (F800GS) and have had several KTMs in the past... I'm considering trading in my new 2008 KTM 450XCR-W for a G450X

bike is designed to be serviced by owner hense why the full service manual is supplied wi the bike.

having riden the g450 i'm away to hack out an organ and stick it on ebay to buy one.

You were at the dealer bimble in wales this week?

Tell more!

fookin brilliant machine straight from the box.

priced cheaper than the other:augie

extras in the box.

light, chuckable, goes like fook, warranty,

the bad bits:

could do with a works graphics kit

had to give it back when i went home :tears

how much would a kidney sell for??? :duno

What bums me is the lack of a kickstarter... I rarely used it on my KTMs but sure is nice to have just in case:rob

Just spoken to Ian at Ocean in Plymouth about the price of these and he quoted me £5109 + otrc = £5550ish. Release date 22nd September.

just done the course and as of 7th august:

price £5995 + otr

release 20th september.

seems some dealers are giving discount already, either that or there is gonna be some unhappy customers when they pick bike up and have to pay more.

I'm already unhappy, I was under the impression it was £5109, so if it is going to be around £6300, I'll be asking for my deposit back :-(.

I was told by my dealer it will be GBP5695 for first orders and another 500 quid after that, the GBP5109 was shown on the BWM bike configurator but that the 450 was taken away after a while, I called BM customer service a couple of times but never got the promised phone call back telling me why I had to pay more than the listed price.

At least I still have the confirmation mail and link, but checking shows this is no longer valid. I will have the bike but this does annoy me somewhat.

If you go into a dealer and pick up a pre launch leaflet which is a 4 page write up, on the back is the original rrp of £6095 + otr.
these came out a couple of weeks ago.

Talk about cabin fever, and a broken foot does not help matters :(

13T+Plug=Uncivilised - I have heard that it bites like a rabid dog in this mode so I may even try and change to it before I get home :)

Anyone know what the first service interval is? I was hoping for a couple of hours.
