Hi there,
My partner has a 2011 g650gs with standard suspension and has asked me to lower it for her so that her feet fully touch the ground.

What's the best and cost effective way of doing it.

How low can you go?

1" Koubalinks on the rear would be a very good start and would lower the back of the bike by one inch www.koubalink.com

Then you can lift the fork stanchions up through the yokes a bit which will lower the front end a bit.

The other thing you can do is get a lower seat or get your low seat professionally lowered more and you can even remove the rubber gromits at the front of the base of the seat which can give you a few more mm's.

Daytona Ladystar boots can work wonders aswell as they have a slightly raised insole.

Mrs P is only 5' tall and we have a factory lowered G650GS(2011) which I've had to lower some more for her as her old F650GS/FL(factory lowered) was slightly lower than the wee G'..............Started with the 2" Koubalinks but they were too low ad the rear wheel rubbed on the undertray on rougher roads and tracks so I changed back to 1" Koubalinks and the bike is fine now and very low for a G650GS/FL

Pm me for more information and www.F650.co.uk is a good place to look aswell for both the F and G650GS single cylinder bikes as they're basically the same!

FP.
