Gaerbox Whine

2000 - 2500 revs or aprox 30mph in 2nd/3rd gear = rather loud whine.
30k miles and just serviced with gear oil change.

Is this normal?

Not so much the wife but the Bird!

You should ONLY use oil of GL5 specification

I didnt do it, but garage said they used Castrol SMX-S ?

No not much luck at all.

I havent really done a full service yet as the garage i purchased it from did one apart from changing the plugs as they didnt have a thin walled socket to get em out with.

All ive done really is just changed the plugs and linked up a GS911
