Hopefully everyone is allowed a few real numpty queries occaisionally .... I'm pretty sure this will have some of the older GSer's chuckling to themselves at my stupidity ...

Problem is like this ... having decided I wanted more foot protection than my old boots afforded, I went out and bought a very nice pair of Gaerne SG10's ... great boot, very comfy, nice and sturdy ..... BUT ..... I can't get my BMW City trousers or my old riding jeans over them :blast

MX style pants are fine for playing around, but no good for longer trips. Also, I dont like the idea of tucking the pants into the boots ... looks naf and is uncomfortable.

The solution is obviously a new set of trousers, but I like the touring style pants and can't seem to find a pair that will go over the tops of the SG10's

Any suggestions ... anyone??

The obvious solution would be to worn your boots over the trousers but I take it that you don't want to do that...

I have a similar problem in so far as I have very large calf muscules and struggle to get a boot I can fit into let alone trousers that go over the top. There are some bike trousers that fit over the top with the liner part going inside you boot so keep a look out for them.

I find it's possible to wear my Richa Millenium trousers over my Sidi Flexforce SRS and previously I could do the same with HG Voyager trousers. As suggested, the best way is to wear the liner inside your boots.

So that was either these.....
