Malaga not quite so convenient for the Alps tho.....

Must have misread the map. Andalucia and Morocco might work better than the Alps around Xmas , but I don't have time to go that far.

Are you still using the LHDE garage? It looks like I'm going to need to keep a bike near Nice airport from March through to October next year, and I was going to start with LHDE again. The only downside with LHDE is their opening hours - I'm expecting to be on the late EJ flight quite often, which doesn't get in until 9pm+. First prize would be a small lock-up box nearer the airport which I could just help myself to whenever I wanted - but I don't know if such a thing exists. I'd be interested to hear what your current arrangements are.

I picked up the bike from LHDE in early September for the return trip to the UK and was horrified to find mould on our boots and damp gear after having left the bike there after our trip to Corsica in July. Clearly, the underground garage has a damp problem and I am somewhat concerned about using them again.

So, the jury is out regarding next year's holiday fun. I may use a vacuum bag http://www.vac-bags.co.uk/bike.htm at LHDE, or try and find an alternative place, or revert to returning home after each trip.

Hmmm... that's not good. Fancy going halves on a garage fermé somewhere in SLDV? They seem to come up reasonably often on leboncoin.fr for about 100E per month.

Still undecided on next years plan although a new K1300S will be arriving early 2012..

Please keep me posted and if you were to find a garage within a reasonable hike from the airport I would seriously consider a share. 100 Euros seems very cheap to me...
