Garfield. In the present financial climate, may I suggest a viable and very similar, but considerably cheaper alternative.

Ride around the Shale-oil slag heaps of West Lothian for a while.
Nip across the Forth bridge, head for Balmullo and zoom around the 'red chip' quarry roads. I will paint a few of the rocks blue if you want.
Then up to The Lecht for a bit snowy moorland.
From there to The wildlife park at Newtonmore.
Ending up with a tour round Niddrie for shitey buildings ... and maybe a trip round the veggie counter in Asda's.

Done and dusted.

Well, just back this weekend from another trip, and I'm more determined than ever to spill the beans.......it's just such a crap place to ride!!


Good roads are few and far between, and they never seem to take you towards anywhere interesting.........

That one just sort of wound its way aimlessly up towards Ouikimaden, the Moroccan ski resort

Nothing there really apart from some grotty villages and stuff....not worth going really

It's not even like you imagined it to be- it's more 'Maria Von Bloody Sound of Music Trapp' than 'Lawrence of Arabia'

And the crowds? You can hardly breathe for the crush of the people

I'm afraid they're into the 'nanny state' even more than we are........we heard rumours that the local council in the village below this gorge were going to increase the armco height from it's already silly level of two pebbles up to a ridiculous three stone and a pinch of sand height!!
