Hi All,

I'm off to Ireland Mid June and have hit a slight snag with my Garmin 2610, the mapping for Ireland is pretty sparse to say the least on V6 :eek. Whilst we are only going for 4 days it would be nice to get the hotels in!
Is it worth going up to V9 as I've used in in the rest of Europe including Slovenia and Croatia and not had any issues. Is the mapping a lot better for Ireland on V9. Has it Birr (N62/N56), Ballyhack (West of Waterford) and R561 out to Dingle?

Ok, Thanks for that it does look a lot more detailed.

Next question where is the best place to buy V9 and whilst I'm sat down how much is it likely to set me back?

Thanks for that, I have ordered the V9 disc I just hope it arrives in time! We go on the 10th June so I think it maybe cutting it a little tight :blast

Is there anywhere that I can get a V9 disc faster?

By asking nicely if anyone on this site has a spare :thumb2
Ah ha, didn't think of that one.

Although I've been on this forum for awhile I find that if I read too much of it I get depressed. I like to travel and reading about trips all over the world whilst driving a desk at work doesn't improve my mood.:(
I was also knocked off my CBR600 in Machynlleth last July and only had the pay out in April this year. I was thinking of selling my R1100SS and using the payout to get a 1200GSA however Rydales have now gone and I still enjoy the R100SS. I also have the CBR to rebuild.

Any-who I have just paid my subscription to the forum so if anyone has a V9 Mapsource DVD going spare I would be eternally grateful if you could PM me. :)

With much thanks to rob_yorky for sending me a copy I now have my 2610 updated to V9 and the routes built for next week

A great forum with some really helpful members
