Garmin 276C Sound - output.

Hi, I've just bought a 276C and I can figure the power lead connections but can anyone help me in connecting it to my Starcom intercom. The Starcom has a stereo input socket but the garmin's output is mono! All help appreciated.

Hi

I've got a 276C going into a Starcom.

I put a 3.5 mm mono socket on the 2 sound output wires.

The Starcom GPS/accessory lead supplied by Starcom had a 3.5mm to 5.5mm male/female adapter and the lead is a mono to stereo lead designed for just this purpose.

So the stereo Jack end goes into the Starcom unit giving mono in both ears.

If you don't have the bits, give Starcom a ring as they're very helpful.

Same issue connecting to Autocom. I wired the 276C to a mono plug and purchased a mono-to-stereo jack, cost about AUD 3.00.
Don't know the electrical component stores in your part of the world but the item should be available.
