Garmin BaseCamp map install

I've been struggling like a noob ...

Doesn't help that its using the map data from the device, a 350LM. Its very slow and if I unplug the device I lose the map data. I can't seem to install a map on the computer? I've tried using the unlock code that I have but it just says "map not installed"

It BaseCamp as shit as it seems? You can't even search for basic things like Ferry terminals.

Use mapupdater to download maps to the PC, assuming that the mapping you have isn't on an SD card.

I don't have a program called MapUpdater.

I only have the following

Basecamp
Express
GarminExpress
MapInstall
WebUpdater

Much better than Garmin Express or should that be Garmin Exasperated?

This is doing my head in as well I have the maps on my nav IV, and on the mac, but they still won't show up in Basecamp unless the nav is connected via USB. I've read the instructions several times, and trawled the Internet for answers, but still can't get the maps on there.

You may also have to enable the map using an unlock code
