Has anybody out there got one of these? If you have could you tell me what will actually fit in it.

I've looked at some camera cases in Jessops and to get one that will hold the 2610 + leads + non-slip mounting thingy, it will cost much the same as the Garmin one - but not actually seeing the Garmin one I don'y know what it will hold.

As usual I await with interest for some answers - possibly even sensible ones :D :D

I have the Garmin case designed for the SPIII, but the 2610 goes in just as well.

The case has a firm but non-scratch base so the you put the GPS in face down to protect the screen. There's also space for the fag-ash lighter-cum-speaker power lead thingie and, if you have an SPIII, half-a-dozen spare batteries on the outside.

You can't fit the non-slip dashboard mount in any case that I've yet seen.

Hein Gericke "GPS" bag

Grumpy, I was looking all over for a nice bag for my SPIII. I actually had one in the wardrobe.HG Taureg bag, about £6 if I remember right.
Wrap the GPS in a facecloth and jobs a goodun.

I'm gonna try Field & Trek in the next couple of days - I'll post if I find anything interesting. I've always been impressed with the 'lowepro' range and they must do something that fits the 2610?!:beerjug:

IKEA do a notebook bag and I use that for my 2610. It has 2 small removeable pouches inside and the unit fits nicely into one and the leads into the other. You can get other bits in there too, plus it's cheap as chips!!

:)

Those wonderful people at Ikea, any chance of a photo.

Ikea Bag pic

Here is the pic of the Ikea bag. OK it's bigger than the Garmin bag but when you carry all the gear around you normally are in a car. When on the bike I just take one of the inner pouches out and pop that in my pannier or rucksack. Not sure on the cost but I think it was less than a tenner.
