Garmin is shite. Get it off your chest here.

On the Garmin support issue they do have a UK based call centre with a callback facility and helpful staff. I found the number with a bit of googling.

the product is still a pile of poo though…

fuck me im now just looking to replace this piece of crap, i think youve gone way beyond what could reasonably be expected to try and get some sense out of this, will be my wee winter project to replace.

Amen
What a pile of shite
How complex is that & then using 3rd party apps to draw a route too

Other, more intuitive devices have the country option on the opening screen when you start to enter addresses but this is Garmin.

Don’t you just love humans.
Weird, on the Garmin Montan in the address section first page country option is the first thing you have to enter.

I am using an XT, running complex bespoke routes, created in MyRoute / exported in version 1.1. It is performing perfectly….. unlike BMW’s Connected app, which is beyond garbage.

PS MyRoute’s Navifation app, is performing excellently, too.

After a rocky start I get on well with my ZumoXT. Don't think this bloke has heard of learning and curve or did any research before he bought the device.

Quite funny though. The permissions for embedding have been removed.

He has to be a member on here he's so like plenty of them

I have to concur. It's a terrible bit of kit (when you use it wrong) - pretty much like anything else.

Other than that it works exactly as i need it to. And i have had my learning curves with it, and now know how to get the best out of it for my usage.

That was not a very helpful video.
Ok he said it did not do all these things he wanted.
So why did he not go into more detail and show us.

Rejoice.

It's not only our little sat navs that are affected by shite software releases by Garmin.

Looking online today, it seems that quite a few Garmin watches have been bricked by a botched software update and the users around the world are, understandably, well pissed off. :D :D :D

I have heard that if you give an infinite number of Garmin software engineers an infinite number of typewriters…….one would eventually recreate the complete works of William Shakespeare……

Yes but you’d need a phD in software programming to comprehend it.

Garmin is SHIT buy Carpuride and yor navigation is on a new lewel when it comes to planning your trips. I did that after a year and no turning back.
Have used MRA for planning my trips for years and that is fine. Never had any issues passing routes to my XT either, not sure what value I would get from anything eles. But thanks for your input
