Garmin Map Update - PC/Mac minimum spec

For info - I went on to Garmin's "My Dashboard" to update the maps on my 660 (and the car GPS as well) and was faced with no download link. Garmin appear to be forcing everyone to use the Garmin "Express" software package to manage maps and updates. WebUpdater still works, but no longer does map updates.

Anyway, this is all well and good, provided your computer is up to the job. The minimum spec is (email from Garmin support):


Unfortunately all of our update software's need the following requirements.

Mac

Intel-based Mac running OS 10.6 or higher running in 64bit
1024 x 768 display, USB port and 1 GB RAM
High speed Internet access (Not for use with dial-up, mobile or satellite connections)
May require up to 13 GB free disk space
Windows

Windows XP SP3 or newer, Microsoft .NET 4 Client Profile (included)
1024 x 768 display, USB port and 1 GB RAM
High speed Internet access (Not for use with dial-up, mobile or satellite connections)
May require up to 13 GB free disk space
I apologise for any inconvenience caused.

If your computer *isn't* this spec, then regretfully, Garmin can't send you a maps update link, rendering your "lifetime" map subscription unusable.
