Absolute steal from ebay 10 notes.others £50.00
Just plugged it in the back of mount and off it went with free lifetime traffic.
I know its not a must have on the bike for 10 quid...:JB
sorry dont have the linkey..search Garmin GTM12 traffic.

I've got one too. Gives me "Traffic Ahead" warnings in me helmet :thumb

Also enables re-routing around traffic problems I think but I haven't tried that.

:teacherAww I can't check at the moment, but does it just plug into the back of the Zumo 660 motorcycle mount??

I know there is a USB port on the mount with the ball socket, but I can't remember seeing one on the bike mount??

Thanks

DOH, I take it that it just plugs into the USB cable that leads out of the mount.

HE HAW I geddit now:D

I have the same unit for my BMW Nav III. Excellent bit of kit but be warned:

If you are riding to Holyhead from Essex, it MAY tell you to exit the M6 and take you on a (stunning) ride through mountain passes in North Wales, making you very nearly miss the ferry.

Do you need to subscribe for traffic updates, or is it free????

Lifetime and free Miff. I have had a problem with mine since this 660 software "update" issue. Kept giving me grief so it's been disconnected for 10 months.

It plugs into the USB socket that is in the wiring loom, not the one on the bracket or unit itself.

Has a thin wire aerial with a couple of suckers. Have mine fed up onto the front screen and suckered to the angled part of the screen on the left.

I stuck mine on the underside of the near side "wing/cover/doobri ferkin/trim" that goes over the fuel tank so it's out of nickable sight and also, conveniently by the Zumo loom socket.

Just a note guys, make sure that mini USB connection is seriously waterproofed or you'll get the "this accessory is not supported" message. Heatshrink does the trick nicely.

Thanks for the tip will try it Satuday is yours a 660.will need to look again for that socket, only tried with the car at moment.

Yeah, 660. The mini USB is the same place as the comms jacks on the Zumo 660 loom

Not sure about your update i updated few weeks ago and working fine today.
you might want to check its 4.1

Ordered it Thur, arrived today, works great, no software, just plug it in an it downloaded some update through the GTM 12 antenna, and worked straight away. £11.99 from kel4jon4ev on ebay

YOO HOO:beerjug:

Grabbed one based on the above posts. I'm used with Trafficmaster on the car's Nuvi - at the time Pentagon GPS were way cheaper for the Nuvi. But at £120 for the add-on receiver as against this guy's stuff it's worth a Punt...

I think that's it registering with the sat nav. As I understand it, once this is done it'll only work with that GPS and not be transferable to another.

I have a Nuvi and a StreetPilot 2720. The 2720 came with a GTM 10 which uses a car aerial, bridges from back of radio to aerial lead, to get it's signal. The GTM 12 will be much easier to use on the bike. The Nuvi already has a GTM 21 traffic receiver anyway.

Had dismissed having traffic on the bike as surplus to requirement but at this price I've ordered one anyway, it arrived yesterday.
