Quite by accident I've discovered how to make your own external GPS antenna.
I was after one for my old Garmin SP3 so ordered one from eBay £9.79. When it arrived it had a very small connector on it so I got in touch with the seller & passed on my disapproval.
While I was waiting for the seller to reply I did a search on Maplin's website & found they sell all the items I need to make my own.
I've just popped down to my local Maplin's & bought a 90 degree BNC connector for £1.89 - cut the small one off - fitted the new one & BINGO.
A quick check & I recon Maplin's have all the bits I would've needed to make my own for a couple of quid.
