Garmin upgrades - how long?

How long is it taking Garmin to send upgrades? I emailed them over a month ago requesting an upgrade from City Select V6 to V7. Other than an autoreply, I've not heard a cheep.

Garmin Upgrades

I've just changed pc's and found Garmin very helpful. When I rang for my V6 to V7 upgrade it was with me the next day.

Sorry, but I found the exact opposite. When I had reason to speak to contact them, I did not get through on the telephone once (and others on here have said the same) but in fairness when I send an e-mail via their website, I usually get a reply within hours.

When I was waiting for the City Navigator upgrade, from memory it took nearly 2 months to arrive. When I e-mailed them, I got a reply saying that it was just down to sheer volume of work, but it did turn up.

Spoke to Garmin yesterday and it would seem European City Navigator V8 will be released shortly after Christmas.
So don't go buying V7.

I emailed Garmin several times on the email address found by following the upgrade links from the website and never heard anything back.

Then I filled out the form on the link below, and got a reply within a couple of hours saying that my disc was on the way. Arrived the next day!

I doubt it. I bought a quest with V6 in early October, I sent them an email saying that I was prepared to wait fro V8 and I was even prepared to pay something towards it.
