Does anyone know where I can get a motorcycle backet for a 350lm where I can use he power cable to charge it from the din socket, the only one available that I can see is the official zumo one and it covers the socket on the back

Its very confusing. Basically you can't use the 350lm out the box, the only mounting solutions all use the holder that is in the box which is only compatible with the canbus system. So when you've spent 350 quid on your zumo, you've got to go and buy a load of extra shit to get it to work.

For some reason my can bus system isn't shutting down with the ignition, others have had this problem with the 350lm. Others have said he bike might require a software upgrade. Either way I've got 4 working days till my trip and looks like I might not even be able to use my new sat nav unit. I'd use the cigarette cable but its not compatible with the mount. Nice

How to you get the lead through the back of the cradle? My cradle covers the power socket

Push it through. It's tricky but it goes though. Ave you got that tiny screw that's taped to the cradle when new ?

Just wire it to the battery.

What I'd do is - feed the Garmin power supply cable under the tank plastics from under the seat to the clocks area, mount the exposed 12v pin things into the 350 bracket with the supplier tiny screw & fit to the Ram mount.
Wire up your din plug with about 300 / 400mm of 2 core cable & crimp the other ends on to the Garmin supplied cable about 180mm from the small black box / transformer & cable tie this box out of harms way under your seat. Plug in your 12v din plug & it should work. :flag

If it doesn't turn off just pull your din plug out every night & leave it hanging by the seat, put a cable tie around the frame/cable to keep secure.
