Garmin Zumo550 Stupid question

Me and the Mrs are having a look around Spain this summer so I've just bought a zumo 550. In the box there is a disk city navigator NT What is it for? Ive loaded it onto the comp and it has lots of maps but aren't these already on the zumo? Why do i need a disk? You may have noticed the title of this thread- am i being stupid is there somthing I'm missing??

You can plan routes on it on your computor then down load them into your Zumo, or look at where you've been from the zumo on to a map..

The disk is the Map-source program for your PC and a good start point to using it is here
