Meself and herself are thinking of upgrading to Zumo's 660 so will could have for sale two 550 zumo's

These come complete with bike mounts, power leads and quick release screws.

Gerladines is a BMW Zumo and mine is the standard one. They have updated maps all the disks and unlocking codes.

Oh and one car mount (no car mount disk)

If we do upgrade we will be asking for €300.00 per unit.

Anyone interested ??

Cheers,
Brian

I just might be interested - talk to you in 2 weeks or so.

You do haggling???

defo would take a mount and power lead if had spare

Hi Brian

Interested in car mount but Thermo King has first dabs. Do you have the car power cable? (from cig lighter to car mount)

Hi Brian,

I have a 660 and had a 550. To be honest, the 660 is not that much better than the 550. The bluetooth is still crap, and it freezes up a bit more. You still need to delete all the foreign voices to fit the full western Europe map on it.

I only got a 660 as it was a replacement from Garmin.

GerryC has first dibs on one of the units, not sure if he requires the car mount as well, so will have to wait and see.

Hi Daniem,

It's for the A2DP technology that we want to upgrade. It will save us the bother of buying separate bluetooth MP3 players.

So then we will be able to listen to crystal stereo music through our Scala Rider G4 headsets.

DON'T DO IT!!!!

The 550 is MUCH better than the 660. I've had 2 of each, the 550 is more reliable (much) more robust and I think easier to use.
If I could, (and if the 550 fitted into the 1600's fairing) I'd happily swap both 660 back to 550.

An example: My 550 was fecked by a Garmin upgrade so they agreed to send me a replacement. They sent me a 660. So I bought a 550 as well to ensure I have at least one reliable unit.

I will have my 660 in Wexford Brian, you are more than welcome to have a look at it. I have given up listening to music on it as the whole unit locks up so often. You then have to stop, take the battery out and reboot the bloody thing to get it working again.

Bluetooth promises to deliver much, but falls short so often.

If you pair the 660 to a headset AND a phone at the same time it is nothing short of a disaster.

Would agree strongly with the above post.... just my tuppence worth :rob

My 2p

Paid a lot of money for a 2610 several years ago. Still have it but cant be bothered to upgrade maps.
Nokia N8, not a popular phone but free map upgrades (Navteq) for anywhere in the world:thumb, bluetooth and MP3 and still more reliable than a garmin!!

Hi,
I'm interested in the car mount if it's going separately.
No rush.

Liam

stick me in the que of you want rid of the car mount

The car mount has now been sold to GerryC as part of a complete Zumo 550 kit, sorry guys :comfort

Thanks Gerry:thumb

Will have another Zumo 550 (without car mount) for sale in the next week or so, so if anyone's interested and if you haggle like MrC you'll get it for less than €300.00
