Garmisch BMW Motorrad Days 2011

Just got back from Garmisch (only 400km for us)

Anybody that was camping over the weekend, you have my respect..........

The light rain turned out to be heavy with snow on the maintains, not sure what the temperature dropped to at night but 07.00 Saturday morning it was only +7

But we had a great time. Anybody thinking of going should go.....

Hope everybody got home safe.

Weather was pants, wasn't it:eek:

Had a wet ride out yesterday with Gail and Mort to stop them going stir crazy at Stalag Garmisch, they said it was bloody freezing at night with the snow only just a bit further up the mountain...............I even put the rads on in the hotel room:D

We dodged the showers at times and it was a pretty good event, lots to see

I'm now in the Dolomites and it's warmer here, the passes were packed with bikes today and saw a really bad smash on the Jaufenpass .............12GS and 5 series Estate..............bike took bend on wrong side and ripped the front off the car:eek:...............luckily the rider was thrown clear and broke his arms and a leg, his GS was in 4 pieces:eek:

Going to have a few days at my fav hotel, fews passes to do and then hit the health spa..................these Italian girls here, look like they know how to ease aches and pains;)

Traveled with Bryn and Lyn and JB: Met up up with Mort and Gail at Garmisch. Weather was shite but company was good. This was my second BMW Garmisch event - you need to go once but not sure I will again. Having said that, some of the roads in that neck of the woods are just brilliant to ride.

Hey hey hey.........
Once we got about 100 miles from Garmisch it got warmer and warmer and never saw rain again..........I blame the Germans:mad:

Got to meet up with a few Tossers and generally had a good time, I have to agree with Casperfelix though, it isn't the sort of event I'd go to every year but may be back in a few years but would only do one day at the event and spend more time riding around what is a fantastic area (as long as it's dry)

Just to make you feel even better... its pissing down in Leicester :thumb

Never saw rain again (by day) once i left Garmisch and all the way back to Zeebrugge..................the Dolomites were awesome as ever
