Anyone on here going to the BMW Garmisch bash this year on their LC apart from me? The tour co. says there are over 90 going from the UK on their organised tour so don't expect to be the only LC on the 3rd July tunnel train.
It would be good to put faces to the names on this forum.
I'm staying overnight on the 2nd at the Holiday Inn Express Folkestone ready for the early start.

Garmisch

Hi Alp

Iam going out early on wed, iam on a GSA 13 plate and my mates on a tiger 800.

Say hello if you see us,the bmw tour will be a late start!

Enjoy paddy

Morning all
I will be there on a grey and white LC
As I'm one of the 3 jammy buggers who won any BMW bike
For 3 months and the Garmish trip :D:aidan:rolleyes:
So if you happen to see a fat old bloke with a smug grin on
His face come and say hello.
Mike
Oh it will have loads of luggage as I had already planned to
Go to the alps the following week to watch the Tour de France
So every thing fitted quiet nicely

Mike, are you going over with the UK World of BMW group on the Wednesday morning tunnel trains? If so, there's a special parking area reserved for us at the tunnel main building so may see you there. However, the description a 'fat old bloke with a smug grin' narrows it down to at least half of the group though. :D
Also free coffee and bacon rolls at Folkestone courtesy BMW...the time is dragging.....not looking froward to hacking thru' the traffic on the M3/M25/M26/M20 etc etc from the SW though with those panniers sticking out.

Hi Alp
Yes I'm going with the BMW group I'm booked on the 08.50 train I believe.
I have also decided to stay overnight in hythe to be ready for he early start.
So I will probably be enjoying the free coffee and bacon roll about 07.30 hope to see you there.
Mike

?????????

This group BMW trip down to Garmisch. Is this the dealer organised one that cost well over a thousand pound to join. Or is it a join up for free and just all run down as a group. If its a paying trip will the group be wearing some sort of identifications so the rest of us that aint paid, will be not welcome on the same stretch of road occupied by the paying group. Is there anyone going down there as a BMW Owner and not a profit for a dealer. Or are they doing it at cost? Ho Hum, :blast synicle me.

Jeez....you are a grumpy ol git!

I don't have any idea why you would spend a grand for BMW trip a mad amount for a VIP table in the big tent in my opinion.?

It's only loose change actually + riding companions of like mind (no grumpy old gits), great hotels, great routes and ride outs.....Oh and I get a T shirt :bounce1.

5 of us going independant

Did WOBMW trip in 2007
then thought bugger it could something more interesting ourselves (& for substantially less)

Big North/South divide between those heading out from Hull on the Tuesday and those Southern tarts going on the Chunnel..... Only comradeship throughout the trip was with those who took the ferry I'm afraid
