Hi Rockred, thanks for the info.
So does the bush push in from the back of the unit, and then the complete assembly slides onto the gear change shaft ? I mean for example does the bush just push into the unit easily ? I'm trying to work out where mine is stuck, as I can't understand why :
a) the unit wont pull off and leave the bush stuck on the splined gear shaft of the bike, this would be the easiest way as I'm sure the bush could then be soaked in WD40 or similar and would be easier to get off ? Does the bush somehow screw down into the unit itself from the back side, that's why I can't just pull the unit off the bush, leaving it on the gear change shaft ? maybe I can twist the unit to get it apart from the bush ?
b) the whole lot wont pull off and leave the bush is stuck in the unit itself
At the moment it seems both are stuck because I removed the bolt and nothing pulls off.
I think I'll just put it back together, clean the linkage and lever joints and then order the bush and try again later.
I'll try resetting the adaptations using my Motoscan tool and then re-calibrate/reset it using the procedure I read.
Thanks
Mat
