Just a quickie -

The Gearbox and Final drive oil needs to be changed on my 1150 GS.

The Manual Specifies EP-90 gearbox oil, but strangely, I can't find any locally (except the cheapo "Carlube" stuff and really expensive stuff in really small bottles!).

Any suggestions on this?

Sherlocks stock EP 80w90.

I have handy some Castrol SAF XO (synthetic 75w90)

Anyone had any good/bad experiences with the gearbox oil?

Also - Aything nasty to stumble across when bleeding the ABS brakes?

Cheers,

Mike.

if you go into you're local dealer with a bottle (1 litre) i'm sure they will suopply you with the oil to do the job

Boxer,

After my recent gearbox problem I think anything I put on that earlier posting should be taken with a pince of salt.

I've just been told by the chap who rebuilt my gearbox that the fully synthetic route is the way to go.

Mike,

I have just bought a pack of 18 x 1 litre of Elf 80/90 gear oil from a friend in the oil business at trade price. I'd be happy to sell on a couple of these to you. I live in Redditch so I'm only a short ride away.

PM me or call me on my moby on 07767 250255.

Mike
