Hi Folks

dropped of GS at NoG on saturday to have its 12000 mile service carried out, plus the oil leak between engine and gearbox to be sorted. Got a phone call from them this PM to say that they cannot do the oil leak:mad: .Reason, they have another 3 Gs plus an RT in for the same job. They have stripped down one of the Gs to find that the clutch is contaminated with oil. Lead time for a new clutch is 3-4 weeks from Germany:eek: . They do not want to strip down any more bikes until they have all spares in stock which is understandable. What is not understandable is why it takes so long to get spares. Annoyed, I'm bl**dy livid:spitfire . When parts arrive i shall have to take more time off work from a not very sympathetic boss to drop off/collect bike.

Any one else had these problems? Do I get rid of the bike?

Mines in for it now...I hope I don't end up waiting XX number of weeks. So far they've asked to keep for a few days which I'm fine with.

Mine had a misting of oil (you would have left it if not warranty) + front engine cover took less than 4 hours & my clutch was fine. Plan to keep mine for many years ;)
