Gear indicator goes blank and total loss of power

Water ingress was a problem on some of the gear position potentiometers on earlier Hexhead GS/GSA models. Not heard the same for the LC bikes ?

Perhaps your bike would benefit from a crud catcher/mudsling to deflect water from the gear position sensor?

Maybe wise to slather the new one in deielectric grease to water proof it, or spray it in ACF50 or similar ?

Well that fix lasted a year exactly. Can’t believe gear position sender lasted only a year!

Was it a SH part, patter or OE

Sh & pattern parts usually have a 12 month warranty

OE usually 2 years

Some pattern electronics dont work at all. Worse than useless. I would only ever use genuine where possible.
